The Director of DILS will recommend, upon consultation with the outside evaluator and other experts, appropriate study materials for each DILS language. Materials will usually include text, audio/video and additional software when available. Every effort is made to find the most appropriate study materials. The DILS Director continually searches for additional resources for the various DILS languages. Students in the program are welcome to make suggestions and recommendations as they come across resources.

Students must purchase their own copies of the recommended textbook, corresponding CDs, videos and any workbook or student manual. Usually audio materials are sold with the text and the workbook. Should that not be the case, audio materials can be made available with the help of the Modern Languages and Literatures Language Lab provided copyright restrictions permit and if requested in advance.
